The PCTSR first came into force on April 30, 1996. The regulations were last amended on November 24, 2017.
Mécanisme administratif
The PCTSR is administered by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Some substances listed to the PCTSR are also listed to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).
The PCTSR was previously notified to the following WTO Committees:
