Covid-19 related temporary export prohibition

[Note:
1. Vide DGFT notification 6 dated 16.05.2020, export policy for non-surgical masks of all types (cotton, silk, wool, knitted) was made “free”.
2. Vide notification 21 dated 28.07.2020, the export policy on certain items was changed:
• Export policy on Medical Goggles was changed from “prohibited” to “restricted”, with a monthly export quota of 20 lakh units
• Export policy on Face Shields was changed from “prohibited” to “free
3. Vide DGFT notification 29 dated 25.08.2020:
• Export of medical coveralls of all classes/categories was made “free”
• All masks (except N95/FFP 2 masks or its equivalent) were made freely exportable, including 2/3 ply surgical masks
4. Notification 29 dated 25.08.2020also changed the Export policy on N 95 masks/FFP2 masks or its equivalent from “prohibited” to “restricted”, with monthly export quota of 50 lakh units. Vide DGFT notification No. 36 dated 6.10.2020, this product was made freely exportable.
5. Notification 42 dated 22.10.2020 changed the export policy of Nitrile/NBR gloves from “prohibited” to “restricted”]
