The ban entered into force on 8 October 2024 and will remain valid until 31 December 2024.
The ban was introduced in order to support local apple producers in selling surplus domestic products due to the fact that in 2024, according to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, the apple harvest will amount to over 300 thousand tons, which is 18% higher than in 2023 (252 thousand tons).
