The measure first entered into force on 5 February 2020 and was since then extended annually. The latest extension is from 25 January 2023 for 1 year.
Administrative mechanism
Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 and critical shortage of the products, the measure was adopted to ensure adequacy of the products as they are the vital tools for tackling the pandemic.

The export of such products is subject to an approval from the authorized committee.
