Sub-regulation 4(1) of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956.
Administrative mechanism
Importation of goods bearing the Arms, a flag or a seal of a State or Territory (or a representation that resembles this) is prohibited unless design approval has been granted by the Department of Premier and Cabinet or the Chief Minister's Department of the relevant State or Territory.
Similarly, the importation of goods bearing the Arms, a flag or a seal of the Commonwealth (or a representation that resembles this) is prohibited unless the design approval has been granted by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
