Import and export of animals and plants listed in Appendix I to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is prohibited.
An export license from the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) is necessary for the exportation (or re-exportation) of any specimen of any species of fauna or flora contained in the Lists of harvestable and protected species prepared by the NEPA pursuant to Article 47 of the Environmental Law of Afghanistan - Responsible entities
