Time-limited prohibition on export of face masks produced by production lines subsidised by the Government under the Local Mask Production Subsidy Scheme (LMPSS)

Agreements between the Government and the Grantees under the LMPSS.
The restriction applies to face masks produced during the 12-month period as defined in the agreements. The actual commencement date of the export restriction differs from grantee to grantee, but generally falls in Q2 of 2020.

The export restriction is imposed on the Grantees as a contractual obligation under the agreements between the Government and the Grantees with a view to alleviating the local supply shortage of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
