Other than the importation of non-games birds under certain circumstances, including:
- A live specimen of the mongoose family imported for breeding, study, or exhibition purposes is approved zoological institutions
- Certain birds of the starling family
- A domestic bird of kind kept for food purposes
- A bird intended solely for exhibition in a public zoological park
- A bird intended solely to be kept in confinement in a cage or to be used for public entertainment
Other than the importation of certain parts of wild birds under certain circumstances, including:
- Feathers or plumes of ostriches, English pheasants, Indian peacocks, and others
- Specimens imported in accordance with regulations for museum or scientific/educational purposes
