Conditional and limited prohibition/ restriction on the import and export of endangered animal and plant species (CITES specimens and products)
National legal basis
Law of the animal kingdom no. 439-XIII of April 27, 1995;
Law no. 1246-XIV of 28.09.2000 for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora CITES;
Law no. 325-XVI of 25.12.2005 regarding the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova;
Government Decision no. 1107 of 11.09.2003 on the approval of the Regulation on the establishment, registration, completion, storage, export and import of collections of animals and plants from wild flora and fauna;
Law no. 1515-XII of 16.06.1993 regarding the protection of the environment;
Procedure for authorizing the export and import activities of plants and animals of the wild flora and fauna, their parts and derivatives, as well as the import / export or re-export of the flora and fauna species, regulated by CITES.
