Regulation 4A of the Customs (Prohibited Export) Regulations 1958; Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Administration) Regulations (the AgVet Regulations).

Exports of chemicals listed in Schedule 2 of the Customs (Prohibited Export) Regulations require an export permit. If a controlled chemical is an active constituent of a compound being exported for an agricultural or veterinary purpose, then a permit issued under the AgVet Regulations is required. If the controlled chemical is not an active constituent or is being exported for other purposes, then a permit issued by the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (or authorised officer) under regulation 4A of the Customs (Prohibited Export) Regulations 1958 is required.
