Administrative mechanism
Details of the accounts of biomethane producers in the biomethane registry and information on guarantees of origin for biomethane are provided by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving.
Temporarily, until the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the integration of the biomethane registry, established in accordance with Article 81 of the Law, into the European Union database (Union database), and the recognition by the European Union of the guarantees of origin of biomethane issued by Ukraine, the export of biomethane via pipeline transport shall be carried out by biomethane producers connected to the gas transmission or gas distribution system using an automatic flow meter (automatic chromatograph) and a gas metering unit, provided that the customs authority is provided with a certificate of compliance with the sustainability criteria for biomethane from the producer of the respective biomethane volumes, along with proof of sustainability (Proof of Sustainability) for those volumes.
